1999 – Game Designer Mark Rice trademarked DOS for a card game.  

1981 – 1999  Microsoft DOS was the lead operating system used in computers. 

2001 – Game Inventor Mark Rice received the registered trademark TWICE THE FUN for a card game. 

1999 – 2017 The card game DOS TWICE THE FUN…twice as fun as…YOU KNOW…that other game! was offered for sale. 

2001-Hasbro, the #1 Game Company in the World reviewed the card game DOS TWICE THE FUN.

The original DOS card game was created, designed, and introduced by game inventor Mark Rice, the founder of  Zoofari, Funky Monkeys, Zoo Mania, iPresident of the United States, It’s A Dog’s Life, and more.  

 

MATTEL knew about the DOS card game over 20 years ago, October 7, 1999.   MATTEL requested a copy of Rice’s DOS card game.  MATTEL indicated they wanted to review DOS to compare with the UNO game.

Ray Adler, Senior Director Games Marketing & Design for MATTEL, 16 yr employee, claimed “It took 2 years to develop DOS” & “DOS has been in development for 2 years” even though MATTEL did not own the rights to the tradename DOS. 

On FACEBOOK, MATTEL used paid advertising for DOS that copied Rice’s Twice The Fun name, claiming “Like UNO? Then you’ll love DOS! This brand new card game is two times the fun!”

The original DOS Twice the Fun was based on the number 2.  DOS.  Twice the Fun.  A Double Dose of Fun. Double Trouble.  Double Exchange.  The packaging promoted the card game as America’s #2 Card Game.  
The billion dollar company Mattel claims their DOS card game is “The World’s #2 Card Game”.  YOU DECIDE!  What Card Game is #2?
